im trying to modify the color of the text on an attribute depending on what the text says. Is there anyway to do this?

NIce feature! There is currently no way to do it with the Flow Rules or When/Then Rules.
This sort of logic belongs in the UI. The standard attribute input control doesn’t support this but could find a way of allowing conditional formatting.
Another option is providing your own input provider to customise how a particular attribute or value type is shown.
