Android Mobile App Login Issue Help

Hello Team! I have downloaded and run the openremote Android App and tried to login localhost within the same network, but its getting crashed and unable to connect. Please let me help to fix this as how to login the same localhost on openremote mobile app, like as accesing on the PC running within the same network? Thanks.

This should be a matter of regular local networking, not really something specific to OR.
Just fill in the local IP address and port of that PC (mostly similar to 192.168...) when trying to
connect to the manager.

Hello @martin.peeters thank you for your prompt feedback to my issue. I really appreciated. Please allow me sometime and get back to you soon with an updated response on this. Thanks.

Hello @martin.peeters I am afraid to say that openremote mobile app still getting crashed after enterning local IP address of the PC on which openremote docker desktop running within the same local LAN network. Even also changed the hostname: 192.168.1.xxx in docker compose yml file and restart the docker.
Any further help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hostname in your docker-compose file shouldn’t matter here.
Can you share details about the docker container? For example, what docker-compose file did you use?

Because it seems you haven’t exposed the ports to your local network? Firewall maybe?
Are you able to ping the IP address? You can also track if the port is accessible.

Hello @martin.peeters Herein the docker-compose file to be reviewed by you. Thanks.

Try disabling Windows firewall
Control Panel → Windows Defender Firewall → Enable/Disable Windows defender Firewall

If it works with Firewall turned off you can turn it on again and create the appropriate rules to allow inbound connections

Hello @pcr Thanks for coming back with your help on this. I really appreciate.

I have tried this, but afraid to say that it didn’t work and mobile app through an error. Herein the screenshot:

Try with “https://192.168.1.168” without quotes
Does it work via web browser on your phone?

hello @pcr i have tried with https://192.168.1.168/ on web browser at my phone no login page display and same error "couldn’t connect to domain " with openremote mobile app.

when tried with https://192.168.1.168/ on local host PC web browser it shows login page with an error as shown in screenshot.

But when try with just entering localhost in web browser login page works fine.

Did you launch docker-compose with localhost or with ip address? Maybe try launching it with the IP

Hello @pcr i have launched docker-compose with an IP address.

hi,
why are you trying with https , write only ip or http://ip the hit and your mobile and docker syatem should be in same network.

Hello @apurba actually, i am not using https even i am getting error with just writing the ip only in web browser 192.168.1.168. everything is on the same network. As mentioned above with the screenshots. when login through ip address, even login page on PC comes with an error as herein:

But, when login through just writing the localhost in web browser it opens fine.

Also, noticed one more issue when chech for keycloak admin page with 192.168.1.168/auth/ keycloak login page opens, but when goes to Administration Console it dosn’t shows anything. Herein the screenshot.

I think there is some issue with the keycloak file which is restricitng it to open the login page properly.

Hi,
Can you try it
in docker file , only change below details for all container

DOMAINNAME: 192.168.1.168 -------->>> only ip (no need to write ${OR_HOSTNAME:)

and in cmd type ipconfig where docker desktop install.

Hello @apurba as per your mentioned procedure i have only entered ip and run the docker compose, but now its giving rutime error.

Hello @apurba thanks it required space between ip and domain name and fixed the docker-compose run time error issue.

Now tired to login through direct ip address with both on pc and mobile phone web browser and it opened the login page. But sorry to say that while tried on openremote mobile app it still crashing. Thanks.

Try it with domain as i said you .

Hello @apurba sure! I’ll try it later once setup the domain for this and keep continue here to open the discussion with other openremote team memebers for their help on this. Thanks for keep supporting.
