Lirc with openremote

Is there any documentation on how to use lirc with openremote, i see that there is option under “config for controlller” to setup the paths for lircd.conf and irsend, but beyond that i cannot find any information.

I have looked on the original forum, then on google groups and now here but there is no search facility hear so posting in the hope someone can point me in the right direction.

There is search facility at least here. All post from google groups are here too. Shame that the original forum posts were not imported to google groups. Anyway, here is one post related to Lirc Create an XCF file with IR Codes
